Uses of Dill oil

Dill oil (Oleum anithi) is a stomach antiseptic, and carminative. It gives, relief in flatulence, and intestinal colic. It is particularly useful in gripping of children. It increases flow of urine also. Dill water has been used for relief in flatulence of infants (it is the main constituent of a common gripe water used in India)., For children, it is given as a stomachic, diuretic, in hiccough, colic and abdominal pain. It diminished the gripping of purgatives and dysentery. When given to ladies after confinement it acts as a diuretic and promotes the secretion of milk.
