What we use-fruitsWhat it does-It is thermogenic, antispasmodic, stimulant, digestive, carminative and anthelmintic. How we use it-In fluence-Take a tsp of ajowan seeds and roast it in a pan until the seeds turn red. Pour 2 cups of water into the pan and boil until the water is reduced to half. Take this decoction once a day for a safe and sure remedy for gaseous distension of the abdomen. In common cold-To clear a nasal block, crush a tsp of ajowan and tie in a cloth bundle for inhaling. The strong odour soon clears the stuffy nose. In asthma-Inhale the vapours of a tsp of the seeds put in boiling water. In earache-Half a tsp of ajowan is heated in half a glass of milk and the milk is filtered and used as ear drops. In a sprains-Mix a paste of ajowan, salt and turmeric in gingelly oil and apply on the sprained area along with some wheat flour. In worms-Make a powder of seeds. Mix 2-tsp of powder with black salt in equal amount and take in night with water. In gout-Make a powder of seeds and take 2/3-tsp with warm milk three times a day.
