Hysteria due to Supressed Sexual Desires

It occurs in sensitive young women mainlyl because of suppressed sexual desire, or due to excessive shock, worry, anger, irregularity of menstruation etc. As per Ayurveda this disease arises due to vitiation of Vata, which strains the nervous system. Constipation, wind in stomach and impairment of digestion are precipitating factors.
For treatment, take fine powders of 20 gm each of roasted asafetida, Vach and Jatamansi, 40 gm each of black salt and Kuth and 10 gm Vavading. Dose is 3 gm with hot water for 2-3 months.
