Facilitating Conception (Due to Improper Development of Ovum)
Fry 10 gm Ashwagandha in ghee, when brown add milk and sugar as per taste.
Take this daily three days before and seven days after menstruation. Continue
this diet till conception takes place.
Contraction and Strengthening of Vaginal Muscles in the Middle Age
(a) Insert a pessary (10gm), made from fine powders of equal quantity
of Mochras, Khairsar, Phitkari, Lal Chandan and Chandan before sleep and
give a thorough massage to genital area with Shatawari oil in the morning.
This massage is said to make the muscles strong for delivery. This oil
can be prepared by taking 1.25 kg of Shatawari and 500 ml of sesame oil
in 8 liters of water. Make coarse powder of 1 kg Shatawari, and very fine
powder of 250 gm Shatawari. Boil coarse powder in water till reduced to
two liters. Add to it 250 gm fine powder, and heat on slow fire till it
gets dehydrated and only oil is left. Filter and use the oil.
(b) Insert a pessary by taking powders of 1 gm Lodhra, 2 gm Daruhaldi,
1 gm Sheetal Chini and 1 gm Anantmul.
Both these recilpes cause contraction of those vaginal muscles, which
due to age or the other physiological and pathological conditions, do
not remain conducive to sexual pleasure of both the partners. The vagina
during the act may become excessive slimy, mucilaginous or very loose
due to muscular weakness. The herbs in these recipes are astringent, anti-inflammatory,
antibacterial, anti-protozoal (trichomonicidal), antiulcertaive, deodorant
and have muscle strengthening effect. These may be used in varied gynecological
disorders of unknown etiology, for varied vaginal infections, hemorrhage,
nonspecific leucorrhoea, bleeding of various types, and for foul, putrid
and slimy exudations.
