Gastric problem cure in ayurveda

Reason for Gastric problem ayurveda :It is due to vitiation of Vata. The trapped gas may cause unbearable pain in stomach. In vataj school, there is retention of wind or gas and feces in the bowel resulting in the distension of alimentary canal and pain. This pain is irregular, sometimes it increases sometimes it decreases. It resembles colic (pain due to periodic spasm in an abdominal organ). It is to be differentiated from Vit school, which is due to retention of Vit (feces) because of overeating of rough food. In this case there is movement of wind with sound in the bowels along with thirst and giddiness. The patient feels the urge but cannot pass the stool. For gas problem, use the following:

Gastric problem ayurveda remedy

(a) Take two teaspoons each of castor oil and ginger juice, followed by half cup of warm water. Give massage to stomach by an oil made from mixture of black salt and castor oil.
(b) A churn can be prepared by taking equal quantities of Hingvastika Churn, Harar Jangi Churn and Meetha Soda. Take half teaspoons (3 gm of this mixture) with hot water, half an hour after the meals, twice daily or whenever required. It gives reliefin the bad effects of ama, clears the stomach. It is immense use in old persons and in the those having a weak liver activity.
(c) Take equal quantities of Hing and Musabar (dry aloe extract), and make pill that of the size of Mung bean. Take these with water.
(d) Hingavadi Vati: Take equal quantities of Hing (roasted), Amchur(dry mango powder), Sonth, balck pepper, pippali, Ajwain, backsalt, saindha Namak (rock salt) and Sambhar Namak (sea salt). Make a fine powder of these and mix sufficient quanity of lemon juice to make pill of 250 mg each. Use two pills 2-3 times a day with water. These pills not only help in gastric problems but also in metabolic disturbances due to vata and thus gives relief in headache, musco-skeletal pains in the body and other discomforts.

Note :Hing is used after roasting, as pure raw Hing causes vomiting. Roasted Hing helps in the gastric and intestinal distension with gas, which is produced by defective digestion. Hing also stimulates intestional, respiratory tract and nervous system. It helps in digestive problems especially when connected with hysteria, nervous palpitation, hypochondria and spasmodic attack.

(e) Take I gm Vacha powder, it is specific in colic due to flatulence. It benefits the body due to various constituents contained in it like demulcent effect of mucilage, carminative effect of its volatile oil and stimulating effect of bitters. It is a good tonic for whole gastro-intestinal system. It may be used in dyspepsia of all types, in gastritis and gastric ulcer.
