Hoarse Voice (Hoarseness)

Voice becomes rough due to shouting or inflammation or infection of throat. Following is the treatment.
(a) Make a mild decoction of Sonth, Munaka, Mulathi, Motha, Shatawari, Vasaka, and Gond Kikar. Mix sugar or honey as per taste.
(b) Make a fine powder of Pippali and Banslochan, mix this with half spoonful of Ghee.
(c) Gargle with saline water followed by chewing sheetal chini.
(d) Pulverize Kulanjan, Mulathi, and Vach, and chew the mixture.
(e) Use Ayurvedic preparation, Kanth Sudharak Vati.
(f) Take Mulathi extract 70 gm , Peppermint 3 gm, 10 gm each of fine powders of Mulshkafoor (camphor), Iliachi, Lavang and Javitri. Triturate this mixture with water and make pills of 50 mg. Keep one pill in mouth at a time.

This pill also helps in malodor, nausea, and mucilage in the mouth etc.
