(a) If it is due to the use of modern medicines such as induced renal damage by antibiotic gentamycin, then make a tea of 6 gm Varun, 3 gm Gokshru, and 1 gm Sonth (ginger). Use this tea three times a day.

(b) In chronic renal failure, use Revandchini in low doses for long duration (22 months). Note: Pure Revandchini is hard to get, it is often substituted by artificially coloured, spongy, woody pieces. The genuine root when chewed gives turmeric-like yellow colour, is gritty and slightly bitter in taste.
